Holiday Gift Ideas — For Him

We’ve spent the past few weeks assembling holiday gift ideas and over the next few weeks, they’ll be launching regularly. While they’re all themed, most gifts across each post are appropriate for a variety of situations, people, budget, and even occasions, so definitely be sure to browse them all ;). Shipping and logistics have been all over the place as of late. I’ve received some orders (shockingly) within 24 hours and for others ordered a month ago, I keep receiving delay notices. I ordered several new Christmas decor accessories many weeks ago and they have yet to ship. So, logistics with gifts and end-of-year shopping is totally unpredictable. Whether you have a small list or a lengthy list, here’s to tackling it, getting it finished, and enjoying the season!

1. MacBook Pro Sleeve — I have this leather laptop sleeve and talked about it in my collection of travel gift ideas, also. It’s lightweight, but cushioned, and gives great protection to your laptop when traveling. It’s one of my favorite little luxuries I’ve purchased for myself, and it comes in 13″, 14″ and 16″ sizes in a variety of colors HERE. There are several personalization options like hand painting or trapunto, but I went for a gold deboss. For those who don’t like flashy monograms, I would go for a small or extra small blind deboss. Discreet, delicate, but still customized and special. It would be a great gift for those who travel with their laptop daily for work, occasionally for trips, or even those who keep their computer tucked away!

2. MONTBLANC Legend Cologne Spray — This is my favorite, long time, tried and true scent on Dave. It’s masculine but not overpowering and it makes him smell incredible. I also like the Burberry Touch and Bleu de Chanel — both which also smell fantastic — but my favorite to this day is still THIS one. Dave also likes having a smaller version to keep in his truck, which is also a possibility.

3. Portable Laser Projector — I love the idea of gifting a projector, especially if you host a lot during the summer, are active outdoors/want to instate a family movie night, or are gifting a big sports fan who likes to be outdoors in the fall. I actually tasked Dave with finding a best mid-range projector and he came back with THIS portable lazer projector (on huge sale right now) and THIS one.

The former is less than 1″ thick — super mini — has 600 lumens (brightness), bluetooth connectivity and is so smart, it even can play YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, etc. etc. through an app. You can find that (again, on major sale) HERE.

The latter projector (HERE) is a ViewSonic that isn’t quite as small, but is still portable and is ideal for watching sports with lots of action (described as an immersive theater-like experience). The picture is supposed to be fantastic and it can be set within inches to the wall while still projecting a huge image. You can plug a Fire Stick (on major sale right now HERE) or other dongle directly into it, and it has 3500 lumens and projects in 1080P. Find it HERE.

4. America the Beautiful Annual National Parks Pass — Dave and I got an annual pass (each pass is good for up to four people at any national park/federal recreational lands in the US) on our recent trip and now that we have it for the year, we’re trying to plan where our next adventure will be, just because we have the pass. You can actually purchase one HERE and it’s even returnable within 60 days, as long as the pass isn’t signed! If you’re looking to motivate your family to explore more, this will be a great incentive. Or, if you are gifting someone who travels a lot, this is a great way to contribute to their trips. Since it’s nearby, we’ll definitely be hitting the Smoky Mountains sometime within the year, whereas if we didn’t have the pass, we probably wouldn’t be as motivated to plan that little escape. You can also see a list and map of national parks HERE.

5. Portable Charger — I’ve been through some portable chargers. I always look for how compact they are, how much power they have… but the biggest paint point from experience is having to keep up with the cords and carry a charging cord around for the charger. This on the go charger plugs directly into the wall to charge itself, so the only cord you have to worry about is your phone charging cable, which you likely always have on you/in the car, anyways. You can also use it WHILE it’s in the wall, while you’re charging the charger, if you need to. The plug folds inward for portability and it charges a phone up to three times without having to be recharged. It has multiple ports, so you could even charge multiple devices at the same time. I bought one for myself and one for Dave’s stocking but coincidentally, Dave had already just purchased one for himself — how crazy is that?! It’s a great stocking stuffer, comes in white, black and red, is on sale, and ships free via Amazon HERE.

6. USB Flash Drive for Phone — If you’re awful about getting photos/videos off your phone, backed up, saved/stored on a drive… you know, all the struggles of having access to tons of instant pictures but no real idea of where they’re going — THIS USB flash drive has 512GB of storage and you can plug it directly into your phone, then directly into your computer/storage device! It has  micro usb, lighting, sub, and type c ports so you should be able to retrieve data and export it into just about whatever you need. Great stocking stuffer and great for you to have on hand to tackle those photos once and for all, too!

*As of publishing, this USB flash drive is currently out of stock. I found THIS one on Amazon that has 256GB storage, and is even more portable HERE. It also has a 10% off coupon attached to the listing.

7. Patagonia Nano Puff Hooded Insulated Jacket — Dave had this jacket and loved how warm but lightweight it was. And, how incredibly pack-able and tiny it can fold down for trips. But, he can’t find it and it looks like he may have left it on our plane/rental car/somewhere. Don’t tell him, but I got him a replacement for Christmas. I hate it and it’s painful to spend more money — especially after already ordering him THIS Nano Puff vest from the same Patagonia collection, but it was that good. How much he raved about it made the vest an easy gift and then I hated the thought of him not having that jacket. So, here we are. It comes in six colors, is water repellant, is insulated and traps heat (even when wet), and can pack into its own pocket. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. You can find it HERE, find the hood-less version HERE (some of the colors are 30% off!), and find the vest I ordered him HERE.

8. Portable Air PumpThis little gadget is so cool — a portable air pump and digital tire gauge that fits in your hand. It can fill your car tires (up to 120PSI), bikes, balls and more. It charges via a USB-C so you can keep it with you in the car — it’s fully charged in two hours and is good for 40 minutes of use at full charge. Another great stocking stuffer (or gift in general) — for any guy on your list. If you have someone hard to shop for (brother, dad…) this is a fantastic one! It ships free via Prime (same day delivery where I live) HERE.

9. 5 in 1 Grill Spatula — This 5-in-1 grilling spatula is another cool tool. It has a sharp knife edge, fork, tenderizer, bottle opener, and obviously, the spatula itself. This would be a white elephant hit, too! Find it on Amazon in black and brown wood HERE.

10. Audible Gift Membership — I just became a subscriber this year and as a result, I’ve literally listened to close to 50 books this year. I love books but could never find the time to sit down and read. Now, I put my AirPods in whenever I’m doing chores, driving, walking, etc. and play my latest book. It has been one of my favorite things I’ve incorporated this year, and after raving to Dave about it, he’s starting to listen to audiobooks, too. He commutes for close to three hours each day so this is a great way to stay engaged, be entertained, and also get in some of his books he can’t make the time for. The premium subscription will give you one included audiobook credit each month, but you also get alerted to exclusive sales to purchase additional books for cheap, or additional credits at a discounted rate. You can check out the plans from one month up to one year HERE.

11. New York Times Custom Front Page ReprintThis is such an original gift! You can input the gift recipient’s birth date (or other milestone date), or just a major event (they recommend searching the day after a major event for publishing) and they will pull the New York Times front page from the archives. Maybe it’s when their favorite sports team won the World Series, or maybe it’s your wedding date. Or the date he accomplished something big. You can purchase it framed or unframed and the dates go back to 1851. It’s a cool conversation starter too, especially for his office.

12. New Balance 574 Core Sneakers — I have the women’s version; Dave has the men’s, and they’re both our go-to out and about sneaker. It comes in a lot of colors, is incredibly comfortable, and is a closet staple. They also look a little more polished than a typical tennis shoe 😉

13. Whiskey Wedge/Ice Wedge Whiskey Glass — Another unique gift, this comes with both the whiskey glass, and the silicone whiskey wedge mold that freezes water into a perfect wedge inside the glass. It melts slowly to help retain the full flavor of the whiskey or his favorite drink. You could even purchase a pair for when he has someone over. Find it HERE.

14. Wireless Charging Station — I’m seriously going to go on Instagram stories and share all the chargers that have made their way into our family, and how I use each of them, haha. After dealing with all the cords on my nightstand from my charging dock, THIS charging station caught my eye since it’s WAY smaller, has exactly what I need (magnetic charging for AirPods, Watch, & iPhone), and has a single cord to manage. It’s also more narrow for more space on the nightstand. It works brilliantly but I realized when I got it, you have to use a MagSafe phone case (which mine already was). I also used a PopSocket for gripping which it won’t work through, but then I found THIS magnetic PopSocket that can come right off when I need to charge it. I didn’t know if it would be strong but it is STRONG — another stocking stuffer idea 😉 When Dave saw my new setup, he said “I want one of each of those, too. Please get me set up with everything.” I ordered him the charging station, THIS simple MagSafe phone case (his wasn’t MagSafe before), and the magnetic PopSocket. It comes in five colors (ours are both white), and is on sale today, with an additional 24% off coupon attached to the listing HERE!

15.Home Bar Hero: Mixology Class — The last two gift ideas are experiences — which is especially great for those who don’t seem to need things. With THIS 90-minute mixology class a simple syrup set is mailed prior to the start of the virtual class, and during the class, Amy K. — a Brooklyn mixologist — will take you through making three cocktails. There’s a short list of any additional tools needed so those could even be gifted, alongside the virtual class experience. You sign up for the class date and time at purchase HERE, but you can reschedule the class up to 48 hours prior to the class time!

16. Beyond the Rocks: How to Whiskey — Another 90 minute virtual class, Brooklyn bartender Matt Levy serves as the instructor and demonstrates three cocktail-making methods: built, shaken, and stirred, and during the class, you’ll create two bourbon-based sips (a classic Old Fashioned and an all-the-rage Paper Plane), plus a sweet Sazerac made with rye whiskey. A list of what is needed is provided so you can gift those along with the experience too, if you like, and like the above class, you can reschedule the class up to 48 hours prior to start time! Get the details HERE.

For more gift ideas, watch for themed collections to continue to be added regularly. And, if you aren’t already, subscribe to emails at the bottom of the post to be the first to catch them as they’re released!
