Today’s post is a little bit of a hodgepodge because I’ve been wanting to share some of my favorite round dining tables and I decided that during Memorial Day weekend would be a great time — since many of them are discounted right now. But, I also had a quick living room update I wanted to share, that I’m hoping some of you may be able to relate to, also. So, we’ll start with the quick update, move on to table talk, and then get into some of the browse-worthy meat and potatoes if you’re sale shopping this weekend!

I’ve shared my struggles with rugs many times — I’m not scared of wear and dirt but our dogs are consistently bad when we aren’t home on the living room rug. Well, at least one of them is and we aren’t sure which. And, regardless of how well/what we use to clean the accidents, they always leave stains. So, we’ve resorted to only buying budget rugs in here. And, I actually loved the last rug we brought in last year (HERE). But, we needed to replace the rug again since the stains had gotten so bad and I was just going to re-order that rug, but the size we need (8×11′) is on backorder. So, I decided for now, we would pivot a little bit and order a budget friendly rug that was a little darker with a print that would help disguise staining, should it keep happening.
I ordered THIS LoLoi x Amber Lewis rug (11×8′) and coupled it with a rug pad and really like it. It is, as the name says, SO SO soft! It’s going to take a little getting used to because it is darker but I’m hoping that will give us a little more longevity. Right now, our big size is $330 and ships free HERE.

Prettiest Round Dining Tables
Now, to the round dining tables. We’ve always had a round dining table in our breakfast area, just off the kitchen, where we eat most of our meals. I like sitting in a conversational circle and for that reason, if I have a couple friends over, I even prefer sitting in there if it’s a small enough number for us to all fit. When we eventually replace our dining table (again, dog trauma from puppy years, years ago), I will be measuring to see if our dining room footprint is conducive for a round table in that room, too.
Our table has been fantastic for dinner conversation but also game nights and I love throwing a lazy susan turntable in the center if we’re grazing on crudités/crackers/fruit, communally. We previously had a glass top table but I have loved being able to wipe everything up, sans fingerprints, and along with using placemats, our table has stayed in great condition.
Ours has been great but the white painted wood is really specific and can be stark. There are so many gorgeous round tables right now and during Memorial Day weekend, many are also on sale. Round dining tables can require a little more space but don’t be deceived by rectangular spaces. Our nook is rectangular and still accommodates a round table well!
