My Swiftie fam has been eating up Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, and in celebration of the tracks, vibes, and whole aesthetic, I decided to resurrect the office Christmas tree and create a Life of a Showgirl themed Christmas tree to enjoy throughout the next few months. I already shared a glimpse of it in an earlier Christmas decor 2025 sneak peek post (HERE), so if you missed it, you can go back and even catch a small early look at our main Christmas tree ;). But today, I wanted to take a moment to go into some of the details because TBH — it’s the most fun I’ve had concepting and creating a tree maybe ever. Let’s get into it.

If you’ve been living under a rock, or maybe you just aren’t as familiar with the album cover and aesthetic, here is what my Showgirl tree is based on… orange, sea green(ish), and all the glitz. OK, you guys, I am SO excited about this next peek. Like, over the moon. There are different album covers and I have all the vinyl variants (because I have no self control), but this is the main album cover and color scheme that everyone is probably most familiar with.

The Life of a Showgirl World Premiere
And by the way, here’s our fam at the premiere on October 3. I ordered t-shirts for the three of us (HERE) and Eliza and I wore orange feather boas.

It was such a fun afternoon and evening…

The Life of a Showgirl Christmas Tree
And when I saw THIS slender orange tinsel tree (just $58 right now!), I thought about the orange feather boas Eliza and I had just worn and my wheels kicked into overdrive. I was pretty confident I could create a Life of a Showgirl themed Christmas tree with mainly decor I already had and was excited about the possibility of getting creative in my office again. The rest is history.

Once I set up the Christmas tree, I wrapped the feather boas along the inside, working my way down. Not only did it add whimsy and character, but it filled out the tree a bit, too.

Some pics are more glow-y from when I had the shades shut a bit and I’ll admit, I went overboard on the redundant pics (haha) so feel free to scroll a bit.
By the way, I have been alternating warming and then lighting my favorite candle — Cypress & Juniper — and lemme just tell you… if you haven’t tried it, DO IT. I love it year round, but it’s especially great now. It’s a 3-wick, fantastic value, and lasts a long time. And somehow, they’ve nailed the festive, but fresh, scent.

I used pale green ornaments, gold and mirrored stars, and gold mesh ribbon I already had on hand. I also had a FEW orange ornaments but augmented the collection with THESE pale orange balls for a little diversity.

I considered a showgirl headpiece but I couldn’t find anything readily available (and budget friendly), so I went with a gold starburst topper I already had. By the way, I’ve used this topper in gold and silver for years now and I’m still obsessed.

I was able to find some orange ostrich feathers (in lieu of picks) and added a pack throughout the tree.

And I was stoked to find a pack of 60 hanging acrylic crystal strands for under $14 on Amazon! These are fabulous for any tree scheme and you get a lot of bang for your buck.

The tree is 6′ tall, but I ended up setting it on an upside down planter inside a basket to make it a little taller. I used leftover ornaments to cover the base for more glitz instead of something like moss (because #showgirl).

I’ve had her set up for a couple weeks now and she’s already brought me so much joy while I’m working or glimpsing her across the hall from my bedroom.

I typically try to position trees in a corner, but there wasn’t room for that in the office. But, it was narrow enough that it worked out just fine to place it in the center of the wall, next to my desk, coupled up next to the leaning mirror.

You already know I love a maximalist tree and my Showgirl Christmas tree is the max of all maxes, haha.

As a side note, someone actually wrote in after I initially shared a glimpse of this tree that they were creating a Gilmore Girls tree, which I thought was really cool.

And it was by total accident, but I kind of think she looks beautiful against my beachy sunset art.

I think I already mentioned this, but this actually isn’t the only Taylor Swift / Life of a Showgirl themed tree in our house this year. Stay tuned for a second one that I’ll be sharing in the coming month 😉

The Showgirl tree is probably my favorite tree you’ve ever done!! I’m not a Swifty but I am a UT Vol football season ticket holder so the orange really appeals to me!! Your creativity in all things Christmas Tree is a sight to behold. Just BEAUTIFUL!!
Thank you for taking the time to visit, Joy, and I really appreciate your kind note! I must admit I had a lot of fun creating this Showgirl tree and it definitely brings me happiness. I was so happy to find the orange tinsel tree and love that this tree reminds you of a Rocky Top tree.
