We’re in the midst of the busiest time of year but we added a new level of busy-ness to our plate — we just got back from our 10+ day trip to Italy and ohmygoodness — it was incredible. For two people who have never even been to Europe and usually cap trips at a 5-night max, it took a long while (a couple years) to plan and digest the time away but it truly was a highlight of our lives. I can’t wait to share everything we did (I know a lot of you have reached out about planning your own trips!) — and be sure to subscribe to my emails at the bottom of the post so you don’t miss it — but first, I’m back just in time to share this year’s holiday home decor in our 2024 Christmas Home Tour!
We always decorate in October but with a big chunk of time dedicated to our trip this year, we had to be even more proactive in getting the house ready. I simplified even more than last year, our newly implemented storage system was a HUGE help and time saver (see that post HERE!), and within 48 hours of returning home from our vacation, I was snapping shots to share how we styled the house pre-Halloween. (BTW, even if you aren’t photo-documenting, I 10/10 recommend always decorating for the holidays if you have a fall trip! Coming home to an already-decked home feels so good and makes that full plate feel just a little smaller.)

No need to chat it up this year — like I said, it’s all about saving time and simplifying this year and keeping the chat to a minimum in today’s post was a non-negotiable with myself to ensure that a 2024 holiday home post even happened.
All available sources are linked below the photos.
For the first time in many years, I decided to eliminate red, green, blue, etc. from our primary holiday aesthetic and kept most things in silver, gold, and neutrals. You can see more details of our tree and how much I used of everything in THIS post.
The outside of the house is also now officially done (woo!) but I’m behind on Christmas shopping. Regardless, I’m feeling like we’re in a good spot and I’m ready to start looking forward to our traditions and outings.
Take a look at what our home is looking like today as we inch toward Thanksgiving…

Contrary to former years, I don’t have the first thing wrapped yet this year. But, I think the tree collar still keep the tree looking polished, even without gifts underneath just yet.

A lot of people are still all about the drapey cedar garlands (they’re beautiful!) but I still love our longtime classic pieces (and embellishing the base that we have).

Gran Nan gets Eliza a new animatronic animal each Christmas season and the collection stays housed under the nostalgia tree… it’s growing at a semi-uncomfortable rate these days, haha.

I shared THIS greenery wreath a month or so ago and here it is, in all its glory. It is stunning and simple and just perfect in person. Also, it’s incredibly affordable. You can style it with or without ribbons or bows.

I literally have bells everywhere this year — on garlands, on tables, sprinkled around, being used as centerpieces… but my favorite addition were THESE 2.5″ antique gold bells that come as a set of 24 on Amazon HERE.

You may or may not know — I asked Eliza what colors she wanted on her tree this year and then I gave her the choice to decorate it alongside me or have it set up a surprise. She chose the surprise and I did what I could with what we had in the color scheme of red, orange, and yellow (her favorite colors) 😉

Everything is so festive! I love your mantal a lot better than the Norfolk pine. Want to see pics of your trip!
Thank you, Diane, and I’m so pleased that you approve of my mantel. I really love that base garland so much. Please stay tuned, as I’m working on an Italy post next!
Kelley—What a gorgeous Christmas tour! I love all your touches! Enjoy this beautiful season!
Carol, You are so sweet to take the time to visit. Thank you for your kind comments, too! I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas season!
LOVE all the bells! I may have to order that set from Amazon. I would love to hear about all your window treatments sometime as I am currently needing to replace a few sets of mini blinds and having a hard time deciding what to use.
Libbe, Thank you for visiting our Christmas home! I love those bells so much that once they arrived, I turned around and ordered another set. As you can see, I’ve sprinkled them around in lots of different places. All of the blinds and curtains in my home are from the same provider. You can search “reveal” on my home page and you will see the blinds/curtains featured in many different rooms for a closer look.
I love it! Just had my cleaners over, and now it’s time to focus on the holiday decor. Can’t wait!
Thank you for stopping by, Janae. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Kelley, your home is gorgeous and I love your content. It seems like less stuff could make more relaxed feeling in the home. I have quite a few places done but still struggle with two full closets. I have so much decorating to do and am running out of time! Merry Christmas!
Karen, Thank you for taking the time to tour our Christmas home. I appreciate your kind note very much! I’ve found that after Christmas is a great time to start home organization projects, since you have a clean slate to work with after the Christmas decorations have been put away. I hope you get everything done that you want to do, but if you don’t, give yourself some grace. 😉 Merry Christmas!
