15 Fave Finds from my September Shopping HaulS

Next week, I have a fall front porch coming, fall decor moments around the house, and I’ll be sharing more comfort meals and holiday inspo soon. Today though — well, the month isn’t quite halfway over and I’ve had an unusual amount of new (random) shopping scores that I knew if I didn’t share now, I may never get around to it. If you follow along on Instagram stories, you may have seen some of these mentioned, but several have not been. Also, a lot of them are on sale/on deal today, so I wanted to make sure to send out my 15 Fave Finds from my September shopping hauls before the weekend started.

1. Fall Front Porch Stems

I have a post coming in just a few days with my full fall porch, but as a preview and a special call-out, I ordered THESE affordable red faux fall stems on a chance (they come as a set of 6 so I ordered 2 sets) and trust — they are fantastic for making my outdoor fall-scape so much more sumptuous! They’re a great deal, vibrant, and durable. And, while I folded the stems to the size I needed, they are actually almost 30″ long.

2. Good American Jeans

I was in desperate need of a couple pairs of jeans for the upcoming months, but didn’t want to invest too much in case my sizing changed before I got a lot of wear out of them. I ended up taking a chance on Good American for the first time — their Always Fits Good Legs straight style — last month. The “Always Fits” line is designed with lots of stretch to fit a range of sizes, so if you gain or lose weight, you can still wear the same jeans. I was skeptical but I tried them and quickly became a believer (even though out of the package, I thought there was no way they were going to fit). I was such a fan, that I took another chance on the Always Fits Curve straight style this month when their 30% off sale popped up (use code FRIEND for 30% off!) They’re a little roomier and while I love both, I think I actually prefer the curve style! Let me tell you, if you’ve been curious about them, try them!! They come in short and long but I’m in the regular length. Here’s the newest (curve) style

And here’s my original “Good Legs” style.

3. ugg inspired mini boots

I was influenced by Jen Reed when she shared THESE and at the wild current price, decided to give them a try. I didn’t know if I loved the Ugg Minis enough to spend $160 in the past, but at (currently) $39 on Amazon, these similar inspired and highly rated cozy ankle boots looked SO close to the expensive alternative. I initially ordered the chocolate and was shocked by the quality, fit and feel. I immediately turned around and ordered them in the Chestnut, too! They have a bunch of colors and most are still under $40! They’re water resistant, they have memory foam insoles, and I can’t get over them.

4. matching family christmas pjs

Full disclosure, I actually made a pretty sizable Old Navy order to try a few things (they currently have 50% off for cardholders with code THANKS!), but the most notable in the order was that I went ahead and grabbed some matching flannel Christmas jammies. We are surprising Eliza with another family with a Polar Express experience in North Carolina this year, so the matching pjs for both fams is a must 😉 Right now, they’re fully in stock, have multiple color schemes, and lots of different options for all family members (even short sets). You can find the full red and green plaid collection HERE. Also, I actually ordered THIS hoodie for Dave in green to go with his flannel pj pants 😉

I’ve seen most small shops I follow already release their matching pjs for the holidays too, so if it’s a tradition, it’s definitely not too early to order — especially while they’re on sale and fully stocked.

5. the bible recap study bible

At the end of this year, I will have gone through The Bible Recap daily Bible reading program for the second time. Tara Leigh Cobble has such a gift for summarizing and pulling things out of text in her podcast recaps and I can’t imagine reading the Bible now without her accompanying notes. Well, they JUST came out with an all-in-one study bible that has both the Bible text (in ESV), arranged in chronological order by reading days, with the text of summaries and a daily “God shot”.

I wanted to go ahead and scoop it up while it was on sale on Amazon (HERE) and I’ll be starting fresh again at the start of 2026 when I finish this cycle. You can start anytime, but that’s when I’ll be finished with this go-round with the podcast so I will switch it up next year. There are a few cover options but I went with the pale pink vegan leather hardback — it has gold edges and is so nice.

6. tuckernuck dresses

I’ve shared the Tuckernuck dresses I ordered during their sale a few times, but I don’t think I have on the blog, and it’s absolutely worth noting that they’re all still more than 50% off. When I purged my closet, I had no dresses left, so I invested in a few quality pieces that I absolutely LOVE. A few people have asked about fit, so FYI — I’m 5’3″, I think they fit TTS, but note that with the exception of the black knit dress that they are all structured and without stretch. The collars on each are precious.

If you’re a fan of Tuckernuck but not of the pricing, it’s a great time to grab a few pieces on clearance.

7. Marc Fisher Slingbacks

Those Marc Fisher slingbacks from the Nordstrom Sale? I ordered them in brown (you can see me wearing them above with the first Tuckernuck dress), but I love them so much, when they restocked and discounted to 36% off, I ordered them in black this week, too. They are so comfortable and versatile and I know they will be a repeat staple this fall and winter.

8. New Vinyl for the FaM

I’ve been trying to limit my vinyl — especially since I’ve pre-ordered all of Taylor’s The Life of a Showgirl vinyls she’s announced thus far (I know…) — but I did order a few random discs for the fam I’m excited about. Ruston Kelly’s album just launched this morning (I’ve already listened to the digital in full) and it is AWESOME. I snagged the Led Zeppelin Live EP for Dave (also launched this morning). We can’t get K-Pop Demon Hunters out of our heads and I pre-ordered the soundtrack for Eliza (releases in early October). And lastly, months ago, I had pre-ordered Ed Sheeran’s new album, Play, that launched today. However, Walmart is gifting me with a copy so I’m pumped for that to arrive today!

9. Fairlife Protein Shakes

These aren’t new but they’re new to me. Since I’ve been trying to prioritize protein, but I’m not a morning eater, and I don’t eat eggs or much meat, I have been loving these protein shakes to tide me over when we have late dinners with Eliza’s activities, or if I get hungry in the morning before lunch. Such a satisfying, filling, and yummy way to get in protein — especially on the go. It isn’t chalky and TBH, just tastes like chocolate milk.

10. Satin Camis

I wanted some simple tanks to wear under cardigans/jackets with skirts/trousers but didn’t want to spend much. I took a chance on THIS set of three (comes in a bunch of color combos) on Amazon and I am so pleased with the simple satin top! I ordered my regular size (which I’m keeping) but if you want it a little roomier, maybe order a size up. They’re on deal right now for $23 for the set of three. (Don’t judge the wrinkles — they’re were fresh out of the packaged and tried on and not yet steamed 😉

11. cabinet narrow standing straw organizer

This vertical straw holder than can remain freestanding or be sticky-mounted with the provided stickies in the package is brilliant. If you are a water bottle and tumbler family, (who isn’t?) it’s a need. I was determined to clean up the straw mess in our drawer and this narrow divided organizer takes up virtually no space, keeps straws so you can see and easily pull from the stash, and can easily be lifted in and out of the cabinet. It has 5 separate, divided compartments so you can sort by type, too. Right now, it’s on deal for under $9 HERE.

12. StripeD Pullover

I’ve had great luck with my Amazon sweaters and pullovers and snagged the green version of this pullover (top left photo in the graphic below) this week. I’m waiting on it to arrive but the price is great and the reviews are fab. Lots of color options — even more than the graphic I created below.

13. Advanced Oil Sprayer

I was scrolling through Instagram when I saw someone (I wish I could remember who!) comparing oil calories based on the method of adding it to a cooking pan. She added a modest drizzle of avocado oil to the pan, weighed the remainder, and figured out it was around 250 calories of oil used. She then used THIS Olivia sprayer to apply oil — which has a fine, thorough mist, but plenty for cooking — and then weighed the remaining oil to find there was only 40something calories of cooking oil used. Mind blown. My previous oil sprayer broke and was a quick-squirt style but I actually prefer this level, continuous, and even misting, spray style. It works so incredibly well and not only do I love knowing I’m not over-using oil and I’m not saturating my food, but I love being able to know I’m using fewer calories that I’m more mindful of now — even in smaller things like cooking methods. Grab it on deal HERE.

14. inexpensive amazon aviator Sunglasses

I’m typically in the same big, oversized sunglasses, but I’ve recently tried to expand my styles — not just for look and style but for function. My big glasses don’t wear easily with a hat — which I wear often — so I wanted to get a few inexpensive aviators to keep around, especially for when I wear baseball caps. I thought I would be sending some back, but… I’m not. They were all such a great deal and I’m keeping them all stashed around. You won’t believe the prices on each of these Amazon aviators — all are $15 and under right now.

  1. These retro square aviators come in a TON of colors and are currently on deal for under $14.
  2. These double bridge plastic aviators actually come in packs of two and is currently under $10 for both pairs! Lots of color combos available.
  3. I have had multiple pairs of Sojos and THESE aviators are really nice — Maybe my favorite of the bunch. Polarized and they come in 15 colors. On deal right now for the next few hours!
  4. The largest frames of the bunch and also Sojos, I’ve actually had these sunglasses for a while. They come in a bunch of colors and have held up so well for as long as I’ve had them.

15. Denman boar Bristle Brush

I grew up with my mom using a Denman brush and she used it for years and years and years. Mom, do you STILL have it? This one has both natural and boar bristles, is great for detangling, straightening, shining, and especially for my fine hair, has been incredible. I have the medium sized and what really sold me was that there are lots of people in the comment section of the listing comparing their brushes with $200 Mason Pearson brushes, saying they are either as good as or better than their expensive MPs. Some got it as a substitute for when they travel and ended up loving it. This one is almost 90% less expensive! If you’ve been on the lookout for a brush, grab one and try it HERE.

*BONUS* Oversized Quilted Puffer Jacket

I added this vibrant puffer jacket from Target to my wardrobe and adore the oversized fit, length, color and price point! The size down still fit well, but ultimately, I went with my regular size for the coziness factor. The arms are especially oversized but again, that’s a feature I love in this jacket.

It’s been a hard week and I hope you’re finding some way to intentionally receive and give love this weekend. Take care of yourself, protect your peace, and remember that in the midst of hurt, sadness and evil, there is still so much goodness.
