Before Easter weekend kicks off — and for many of us, Spring Break — we’re throwing down a bunch of randomness on KN with an all new Snack Around the Plate!
What is a “Snack Around the Plate”? Growing up, this was the phrase my mom called meals she would assemble with random favorites when scouring the pantry and fridge. And, while each item didn’t totally go together, assembled as one collective, I loved them! Basically, “Snack Around the Plate” posts are just a smorgasbord of randomness — “a little of this and a little of that” from all things lifestyle. It’s a mish-mosh highlight reel from a favorite recipes to favorite finds.

I shared three versions of THIS chair (Number 1, Number 7, and Number 16) but it actually comes in even more colors! It is such a gorgeous (and affordable!) accent chair that has almost a perfect 5* rating with almost 700 reviews. I love it for a living room accent chair (on its own or as a pair) or for a bedroom!
Number 11 comes as a set of outdoor chairs and while they’re regularly priced at $500 for the pair, right now, they’re only $350 for both!
Number 6 is such a beautiful side table and I can’t believe it’s only $100. It also comes in three finish options!
Number 5 is perfect for the entry or the foot of the bed and Number 9 has fantastic ratings and gives an awesome pop of green, for a corner that needs some liveliness.
Number 12 comes in a few fabric options, is really affordable, and even has a 20% off coupon that can be applied via Target Circle right now!
I actually have a pretty sizable collection of green glass vases and Number 2 comes in three size/shape options that are hefty and great quality. I actually love the small 5″ version for a squatier breakfast table centerpiece.

There’s a lot of really good storage deals right now at Target — especially if you’re in purge/spring cleaning mode!
I actually keep THIS felt basket (Number 3) that comes in two sizes and colors — in the back of my car to corral everything. I have for years. The felt helps it stay in place and it’s worked perfectly for us!It’s currently 20% off both sizes.
If you don’t already use one of THESE (Number 1), grab one for spring as we enter salad season! Not only do I use mine to prep my lettuce, but I use it to store my lettuce in, inside the fridge, too. THIS ONE is the best!
Number 5 is a 4-piece clear fridge and pantry set that has the same depths — a must for my fridge organization. My favorite fridge accessory though is THIS divided berry bin (Number 10) with lid that can store multiple berries at once.
THIS clear bin with handle (Number 7) is one of the best priced bins I’ve seen, it comes in two sizes, and is great — not just for the pantry — but for closets, cabinet shelves, and more. It’s a modular design so it’s also stackable.
Number 9 handle bins also come in both clear and black, and in two sizes — they are priced phenomenally and are great for shelves, entry closets, back-stock, garage, and more.
The Number 11 utility cart is so versatile — especially for the laundry room, art station, play room, kids bedroom, mud room, etc. — and has almost 3K 5* reviews. It comes in multiple colors and is just $40!
I switched all my food storage containers to the Rubbermaid Brilliance line a few years ago and it was the best decision ever. Mine are all glass but the crystal clear plastic (Number 12) has the same claims in terms of being air tight, dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe, etc. They’re also more affordable than the glass.
2. BOGO 50% Off Shoes
Find all Target BOGO 50% off shoes HERE.
Ok, so I know I shared and raved about summer sandals and slides in my last SAP, but right now, all shoes are BOGO 50% off HERE. And, since last time, I actually added another inexpensive pair to my summer collection. A few weeks ago, while I was in store, I came across THESE adorable memory foam (so comfy!) slides in both black and natural. I grabbed the natural and am fully prepared to wear the heck out of them during the warm weather months. Did I mention that they’re comfortable? (I know I did, but truly, they are.) If I hadn’t already gotten THESE black slides, I would be scooping up the black with tortoise shell buckle, too.
I’ve already been wearing THESE casual slides on repeat — they are (confirmed) SO comfortable to wear for long periods of time — they booted my former fave casual slides from their top spot. I actually feel like I need to get back-up pairs. They come in a few colors (I have the black and taupe), but the taupe is my fave color HERE! No half sizes available but I sized down to the nearest whole size and it worked perfectly. Returns are simple but I can’t rave about these enough. They will for sure be my most worn summer shoe.
A style both my mom and I got multiples of was THIS style, for $20! They only had the raffia left in two sizes in the store (I think that’s the most popular style), so my mom was able to grab that pair, while I went with the classic black. Again… $20 but now they’re BOGO 50% off! They look SO similar to a designer sandal for a teeny fraction of the price. The brown is also a gorgeous tone and perfect neutral, and you can find the rhinestone version HERE. Half sizes are available in these and they run TTS.

3. Herb Garden
I shared in one of my last posts that this is finally the year I plant an herb garden on the back deck! We are planting this weekend but my planter I got to attach to the railing (HERE) arrived (which Dave will be installing), and my adorable clay stamped herb markers also arrived! How sweet are these? I found them from a handmade shop on Etsy — customized and available in clay and metal — and I can’t get past the adorable-ness. They’re also really inexpensive. And, I love that I don’t have to get a huge set that may/may not have what I need with markers that will be wasted. You can check them out HERE (they also arrived quickly 😉 ).
Hand Stamped Clay Herb Markers
I also ordered THESE small herb snips off Amazon since I read about the importance of using shears specifically for herbs, so as not to accidentally transfer a disease to the plant. So, I’m all set!
I am just so stoked for this and hope that I can have some success with limited knowledge and effort 😉
4. BOGO 3-Wick Candles
I am a B&BW 3-wick candle stan and right now, they have BOGO FREE going on… which is when I always stock up. Which I did today ;). With a really big order. I actually use the secretary desk in the conversation room exclusively for my candle stash and while I have pretty strong fall and winter candle preferences and go-tos, I love trying all kinds of different scents during spring and summer. Here’s a few of my faves I have on hand but I can’t wait for my new BOGO candles to get here so I can sample them over the coming months. By the way, they are offering free shipping right now with code SPRITZ HERE.
5. Easter Menu
If you’re still undecided on Easter dinner, we typically do something untraditional. Last year, we did bbq brisket and this year, we’re grilling steaks. Here’s our simple menu for our small family Easter dinner…
6. Recent Book Trilogy
7. Library Services
Another post on how much I love the library? Yes. Just in case you aren’t a regular at your local library yet, or you aren’t familiar with all the library services, chances are, your library offers more than just books (and media to check out). Our local library systems offer discounted and complimentary tickets to museums, parks, and other experiences around the state. And when I saw several months ago that the Atlanta Zoo has a program for free zoo ticket vouchers after you check out and return their DVD, it became a game to see if I could catch one when it was in stock. It took a long time (they’re in super high demand) but friends, yesterday, I finally caught one being re-shelved, placed it on temporary hold, and zoomed up to the library to grab it. Specifically if you’re in Georgia, check and see if your library has this program, too! We haven’t been since her second birthday, so we’re planning for an Atlanta zoo trip in the next few weeks.
We also have to plant the zinnia seeds from our library’s seed garden that we collected during a recent trip. Seriously, I love the library.
I hope you all have a fabulous Easter weekend and if it applies to your fam, a safe and fun Spring Break!
Great post! Love all your suggestions at Target !! Thanks!
Thank you for your note and I’m so glad you like this post! There are so many fun deals going on now and I simply had to share.
