Did you catch THIS mimosa “barcuterie” board prior to NYE? Today, I’m back with a brand new (and this time, savory!) barcuterie board — an alternative to a Bloody Mary bar — a Bloody Mary board! It’s such a fun addition to any festive brunch, party, or celebration and it’s easier to set up (and requires less space) than a traditional Bloody Mary setup. You can pair a Bloody Mary charcuterie board with a traditional cheese, meat and cracker charcuterie board, or any other innovative grazing boards you come up with.

One of my family’s traditions is to serve/drink Bloody Mary’s at any gathering from Thanksgiving Day morning to Christmas Eve. Honestly, any time we’re gathering with people before noon, you can pretty much count on Bloody Marys being a part of it. Since we typically serve Thanksgiving dinner in the mid-afternoon, we begin our socializing early and Bloody Marys seem to feel just right. As a bonus, the lighter fare of pickled and fresh veggie garnishes serve double duty as a grazing snack, without having to prepare heavier (and more time consuming) appetizers, since most of our cooking efforts are focused toward the actual Thanksgiving dinner.
In years past, I’ve served up the garnishes and add ins in individual bowls and bottles and we typically have one bartender prepare all of the drinks…all the same way. The beauty of the Barcuterie Board is everyone can choose their own garnishes to dress their own Bloody Mary to suit their taste. Here’s a throwback to a (very) early day on KN! It was a simple setup but the general rules still apply for us to this day.

Bloody Mary Charcuterie Board AKA Barcuterie
Since that initial bar setup, pretty much every type of food has made its way to a board-style serving setup and loaded with garnishes and cocktail customizers, this board can be sourced and set up in no time. So, for my latest take on a loaded Bloody Mary bar — with all the garnishes, add-ins, and build-your-own customizations… check out this conversation piece! Enter, the Bloody Mary Barcuterie Board.

Per usual, I start with the largest items, then bowls, and then fill in with the rest.

To make sure you’re set, do a run-through (even a mental run-through) from start to finish to make sure you have everything you need and in place (from beverage builders to tools and glasses).

You can simplify your board and even include hot sauce(s) on your main board, but I created a smaller board to house all the cocktail liquids.

Make your own judgement call on if you need to add labels. If you have some spicy and some mild options, labeling them as such would be really helpful.

Don’t skip on skewers/picks. You can opt for disposable picks for a gathering but I love THESE branch stirs with lots of room for all the garnishes. THESE are a great disposable option (longer than what you typically see!) and I also adore THESE versatile stainless steel picks that come in multiple sizes — a great inexpensive investment, in general, to your bar tools.

I also love THESE spoon straws — great for loaded cocktails (like Bloody Marys) and frozen drinks!

If everyone is making their own — as is the purpose of a Bloody Mary charcuterie board — you could also include a simple framed recipe for anyone who isn’t used to making their own.
My Standard Bloody Mary Recipe
- Fill your glass with ice
- Pour vodka (I usually fill to 1/3 to 1/2 of the glass)
- Add Bloody Mary mix (leave at least two fingers from the top of the glass)
- Add a dash of worcestershire sauce
- Add approx 1/8 tsp. horseradish
- Add a few shakes of hot sauce
- Squeeze a lime wedge and then toss the wedge in the glass
- Add a dash of salt and pepper
- Shake and stir until well mixed
- Add garnishes

This was REALLY good and helpful! I can’t believe how quickly it was gone. Thanks for sharing!! And just a random question my daughter wants to know: what is Eliza’s favorite TS album and song? Thanks!
Noelle, Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I must say that this is one of my favorite boards that I’ve done. As of now, Eliza’s favorite album is Lover and her favorite song is Cruel Summer. But she really loves them all!
