3 New Bedroom Accents I'm Loving (+Wayfair - Black Friday Extended)

I’ve recently added a few new accents to our bedroom that I have yet to chat about and coincidentally, Wayfair’s Extended Black Friday sale is on today and tomorrow (11/30-12/1) so among their sitewide discounts, their accent pieces are a great deal right now. New Bedroom Accent Piece #1

I really really liked our former bedroom storage bench but between Eliza and the dogs (and even regular use from us), it was a workhorse and it was worn. Honestly, I would have just replaced the bench for the same sherpa bench because I was such a fan and it’s such an affordable piece, but at the time, it wasn’t in stock. It actually is back in stock now HERE (choose the cream sherpa with natural legs combo!)

Since it wasn’t available, I went a similar but different route — I still wanted a creamy color and it had to have storage, so I decided on THIS pretty bench with short back. And let me tell you — she is so heavy and substantial and pretty in person!

While the other bench had a lid on hinges, this one lifts off. I didn’t think I would like that as much but 1. I don’t access it daily, and 2. it leaves less room for mechanical error. I have it against our low profile king bed here and I love how it looks!

The storage aspect was really important to me for sheets, throws, and bedding that wouldn’t have to go in the hall closet. This bench is SO deep and has way more storage than the former. What you can’t tell is that there is about 50% space left to continue filling this bench!

New Bedroom Accent Piece #2

The next bedroom accent piece I had to replace was the small accent table in my reading corner in the sitting area of our bedroom. Imagine me downstairs, cooking dinner, when I hear a huge crash and commotion right above me. Eliza had climbed on top of our ceramic stool/accent table, had some sort of accident, and while the table broke into pieces, Eliza walked away with nothing more than a small cut on her hand, thank goodness.

I wanted a table that was small and round for easy chair swiveling (I have a lot in that corner, but a table is necessary). I wanted something light but not white and something that wouldn’t clash with my other furniture pieces. The colors in THIS side table are so varied, it worked out perfectly.

It’s kind of a whitewashed wood with warm tones, but easily blends with most furniture.

It’s also heavy enough that I don’t worry about it tipping over if I hit it — just an overall great, small, versatile piece. Like the bench, this piece also has a 5* rating and it comes in a dark brown, too!

New Bedroom Accent Piece #3

The third accent piece, while still new-ish, is a versatile piece I actually have shared before briefly. My small storage ottoman in my reading nook continues to be a multi-use rockstar, and along with storage for my book seat, reading blankets, etc. the lid also comes off (and has feet) if you want a lower ottoman/footrest. If you’re looking for multi-use pieces for your living room (extra seating, storage, surface area), one or two of these would be fantastic. They’re affordable and come in multiple colors HERE.
