One of my favorite kitchen runners, with its window pane pattern, fits the Grandpa aesthetic, and like my runner, most all rugs come in a BUNCH of sizes (many in multiple color-ways, too).

And our regular kitchen runner is such a great neutral and is a master at blending both warm and cool tones, grays, browns, etc. It’s washable (making it an extra awesome kitchen runner!) and has a non-slip back.

Eliza’s rug is pretty in plum and deep pink tones, but it’s totally giving “Parisian Aunt” and is such a fun way to bring a little femininity into a space — even if that’s the only color present.

Another favorite rug (both mine and yours) was our blue medallion rug in our former dining room. It fits the coastal grandmother motif, but spans so many other styles.

The rug in our entry is one of my FAVORITES, especially for high traffic areas because not only does it conceal dirt well, but the backing is rubberized and stays put without a rug pad. Also, my favorite HUGE vase has earned its permanent spot right here and while it was more of an investment, I use it year-round as permanent decor. It’s beautiful, HEAVY, and timeless.

And another favorite big vase that’s big enough for the floor/heart is THIS concrete one. I love keeping some greenery in my vases and jars, but they also look fabulous, even empty.
