Chocolate Fudge with Pecans

This easy to make chocolate fudge recipe is the perfect treat to make or to give as a gift. The fudge may be made with or without chopped nuts.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups confectioner's sugar (1 pound)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spray baking spray on the bottom and sides of the baking pan and set aside.

  2. Melt the butter over low heat in the medium-sized sauce pan.

  3. Add the cocoa powder and stir until smooth.

  4. Add the salt.

  5. Add the confectioner's sugar and milk in small batches. Stir the mixture until smooth after each batch.

  6. Add the vanilla and stir to incorporate.

  7. Add the chopped nuts and mix.

  8. Quickly spred the mixture in a greased baking pan and refrigerate.

  9. When the fudge has cooled, cut into small squares and store in a paper-lined tin.
