Cook Time 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Self-rising flour (or 3 cups plain flour w/4 1/2 tsps. baking powder & 1 1/12 tsps. salt.)
  • 1 12 oz. Beer
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar (heaping)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Coat sides and bottom of loaf baking pan with cooking spray.

  3. In a bowl, combine flour, beer and sugar.

  4. Stir mixture for five minutes until it is smooth and bubble-free. If the mixture seems dry, add a splash of water and mix to incorporate.

  5. Spoon batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for approximately one hour.

(If your oven runs hot, check after 50 minutes by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the bread is done.)

  6. Let bread cool for five minutes and then remove from the pan.
