With Father’s Day just around the corner, today, I’m sharing a few things I’ve picked up for Dave, along with a few of his stamp-of-approval favorites. Most everything I’ve included is memorable/revolves around experience but even if you’ve got your Father’s Day gifts on lockdown, there are a few winners (and some on sale) that would be more than fitting to go ahead and grab for Christmas 😉

Something I’m most looking forward to with being a mommy is getting to see Dave be a daddy. It may be a novelty that wears off after you settle into parenthood but during the wait, I am obsessed with the idea of him and Baby L in matching sets. My mom sent some of these links to me last week and I had two sets ordered within the hour. If you’re celebrating a new dad or expectant dad — especially one who may be a Scarface fan — this Little Friend shirt/bodysuit set comes in several sizes, colors, and is under $30. The second set I ordered (under $20) is this Taco / Taquito shirt/bodysuit set. This burger & slider set is pretty dang cute, too 😉 Speaking of my mom, she gave Dave some steak branders for his birthday. They were single initial skewers but when I hopped online to source them, I found skewers that can actually be monogrammed up to three letters! If you’re celebrating a dad who likes to grill, you can get these steak branders in two or three initials. They also make a fantastic stocking stuffer or gift for the guy who has everything. Dave lives and breathes everything Big Green Egg but I never know what to get him. One of his latest additions this year — that has become the thing we swear by most weekends — is this Joetisserie. It’s actually manufactured for a Komodo Joe but accommodates the BGE, too! Coupled with this rotisserie basket, we have had the BEST wings of our lives over the past few months. While he’s grilling and spending time on the back deck, he loves tending to his pepper plants. He has actually had some success in growing a few trees over the past few years; what started as sticks are now actual viable, blooming trees that are as tall as I am (and are past due for being planted). Combined with his love of growing produce and tending to his little trees, I love the idea of getting him something more substantial — like this lemon tree. You can get a one to two footer for under $40 or a three to four footer for a little more (both have free shipping HERE). Classic games are always a go-t0 for me, also. Two we don’t yet have are a set of horseshoes (THIS set is currently 50% off!) and a ring/hook board. Despite me buying him other pairs, THESE flip flops are still Dave’s favorites; he’s going on year three of having the same pair. They are more of an “investment” for a flip flop but as his primary summer shoe for three years running, I can get on board with that. A tool every guy should have (even as a stocking stuffer) is a good box cutter (Dave uses his daily) and THIS double walled, insulated beer bottle / can cooler is brilliant! At least, I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Lastly, I just ordered THIS record cover book for Dave — I have no idea what it’s like in person but at $18, I know Dave will love going through it and it’s an awesome conversation piece.
